Wpływ jawnego i ukrytego przetwarzania informacji przez osoby z niepełnosprawnością na jakość ich życia

Abstract
This paper reviews some research issues in the fi eld of cognitive processes performed within and outside the bounds of human awareness (ie. explicit and implicit processing respectively). These questions are based on experimental study and placed in the broad context of specialized literature. They are concerned with the relation between awareness and cognitive processes execution, the impact of knowledge on actual performance, and the quality and the contribution of sub-threshold perception to the processing activity. Special attention is paid to the phenomenon of learning without the learner’s express willingness to do so and its cognitive cost. Throughout this study the focus is on explicit and implicit information processing by people with disabilities. The Cognitive Recording and Information Processing theory has been used for the study of people with hearing problems.
